Dear Colleague:

Calling all anesthesiologists, ER physicians, surgeons and internists!

These specialists will greatly benefit from the four-hour Anesthesiology lecture at the Sub-Specialty Day, as part of the Tenth Armenian Medical World Congress (AMWC09), July 1-4, 2009

Offered  on Wednesday, July 1, the Anesthesiology lecture is on Airway Management and Ultrasound Guided Peripheral Nerve Blocks and Vascular Access. Clinicians will learn from two highly distinguished speakers:
  • Andranik Ovassapian , M.D., Professor of Anesthesia & Critical Care, University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Ovassapian specializes in management of the difficult-to-impossible airway and anesthesia for thoracic and head and neck surgery.
  • Levon Capan, M.D., Professor of Anesthesiology, NYU School of Medicine and Associate Director of Anesthesia
Bellevue Hospital Center. His specialties include cardiothoracic anesthesia, regional anesthesia and pain management.
The lecture will present the many anatomical areas for which this technology can be used to facilitate management -- followed by demonstration of ultrasound guided technique on a live model. Drs. Ovassapian and Capan are the authors of some of the most current literature on these topics.

AMWC09 already is a resounding success! Well over 260 accomplished health professionals and their families are committed. They will meet world health care leaders, learn from renowned experts, and participate in the first-ever Sub-Specialty Day.
